7. Translation of Lokmanya Tilak’s Geeta Rahasya:
In Lokmanya Tilak’s Geeta Rahasya, he speaks of the importance of surrendering to the divine will and recognizing the omnipresence of the divine. He emphasizes the need to transcend ego and worldly attachments, focusing instead on devotion and service. Tilak’s teachings remind us that true wisdom lies in acknowledging the supremacy of the divine and surrendering our actions to its will. Through devotion and selfless service, one can attain spiritual enlightenment and find peace amidst life’s challenges.
Literal Translation (Marathi to English): “To keep the seed immortal, What’s right, what’s wrong, This difference is in the intellect endowed with the power of understanding, a human and other beings. With that intellect, one can take the right actions, whether it’s destiny, current actions, or actions yet to be performed. When one is aware of this fact once, then, while experiencing the fruits offered by destiny, to destroy those fruits that remain to be enjoyed, it is necessary to purify one’s mind. But there are some methods for that.
The first part of it is to abandon body-intellect. To not be for that, I have to give up the thought of this intellect being the doer, and whatever I do, they accept it from the Lord, they are responsible for all the actions performed, and when I am performing actions on their behalf, their fruit is also responsible for their actions. And when I realize that the action is not mine, then it becomes necessary to expect something from it. It starts happening from impartial actions.
But this principle does not easily settle in human nature. Because he is not ready to leave some of his teachings. Then it is necessary to put those who want to accept this completely under the same perspective. Once it is decided that whether it is done by him or her, whether it is a man or a woman, poor or rich, these things do not matter at all. Because all those things are secondary, and it is very important to understand God to understand God.
Lokmanya says, “To be accepted as the supremacy of God, it is necessary to have the true and experiential knowledge of the nature of God. Worship is the means for this. It is the first to be found, and it is true, because it is accepted by God himself in the Gita.
I am the basis of this world My father is the great father, I am the three Vedas OM It is appropriate to know pure ॥ 9.17 ॥
Witness Lord friend husband Residence goal Asra. Carry Hari hold me very Keep the seed immortal ॥ 9.18 ॥”
Thus, humans speak and act like God in their natural form, as God accepts the form of God for worship, speaks to them, loves them, leads them to the right path, and receives salvation, and he is my father, mother, friend, and ally. The last resort is the thought that he is my mother, father, friend, and ally because he is his father, mother, friend, and ally. This thought always comes to his mind.
